Client Portal Instructions

We are constantly looking at ways to make it easier for you to share information with us.  We are now using client portal software from CCH iFirm.

Your client portal service includes:

  • Ability to view documents we wish to share with you.
  • Ability for you to upload documents securely and share with us.
  • Secure access to other useful applications.

Portal Registration

1.  You will receive an email invitation to register you for your personal client portal page.  When you recieve the email, click the link in the email go to the Portal website:

2.  Once you are on the Portal Registration Screen, Fill out the left portion of the screen (“Register”) with your First & Last name, email and the password you wish to use.  Mobile phone number is optional.

To help keep your portal account secure, please follow good password practices and do not reuse passwords.

Click the “Register” button.

3. To verify & complete your registration, you must select a Multi-Factor Authentication method. 

Most people should choose “E-mail to:” authentication.  Choosing “E=mail to:” will send you a Authentication Code via e-mail.

Click Proceed after selecting your Authentication type.

4. After clicking Proceed, check your email for your Authentication Code, then enter the code in the “Authentication code:”  box to the right.

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER FOR THE AUTHENTICATION CODE EMAIL AS SOMETIMES EMAIL PROGRAMS MAY CONSIDER THE EMAIL AS SPAM

You can click “Remember me” which will bypass the Authentication Code process on future visits to the portal.

DO NOT CHECK REMEMBER ME IF YOU ARE ON A PUBLIC OR SHARED COMPUTER.

Using Your Portal

Logging Into Your Portal

You can log onto the portal by visiting our website – https://marvinlmillercpa.com and clicking on the “Login to Client Portal via CCH iFirm” link on the right side of the home page.

Login using your email address and password.

If you did not click “Remember me” during your initial registration you will be prompted to be sent a authentication code via email. Check your email for the code and enter the code when prompted.

Downloading Documents From Us

Your client portal is where we can share documents with each other.  When a new document has been uploaded by us you will receive an e-mail notice.  The notice will include a link to log on to your portal.

You can also log onto the portal by visiting our website – https://marvinlmillercpa.com.

Once logged in you will see your portal home page.  Click “My Documents” on the left side of the screen to access your files.

Files uploaded by us will be in the “Files Uploaded by Marvin L. Miller, CPA” folder.

Double click the folder to view the files available for you to download.

Click on a file name to start the download.

Uploading Documents To Us

Once logged in you will see your portal home page.  Click “My Documents” on the left side of the screen to access your files.

Click on the “Files Uploaded by Me” folder to open it

Click on the “Upload” button to upload your file(s).

The “Add Document” window will appear where you can drag & drop one or more files into the dotted outlined area in the window -or- click the “Upload File” button to open a file selection window.

Changing Your Contact Details

Once logged into your portal, click “My Details” on the left side of the screen.

Click the “Edit Your Details’ button in the upper right of the screen.

Edit your details as needed and click the “Save” button when finished.

Change Your Password

If you have forgotten your password or want to change it, go to the portal login page and click the “Forgot your password?” link to have a password reset emails sent.

Enter your email address and click OK.

Check your email for the password reset message.

Click link in the message to change your password.

Enter your new password and click the “Change Password” button.
